Re: Question for the two year campuses

At Highlands College, we follow the same procedure that we use for Montana Tech’s North Campus:  We require at least an unofficial transcript to admit.  The official document is still required and we place a hold on the account after the 3rd week if that has not yet been received.

Subject: Question for the two year campuses

Hello-

I’d like to understand better how each two year campus processes their transfer applicants. Do you admit based on the application, then ask for the transcripts on the acceptance letter and put a hold on their registration at 3rd week? Do you ask for the transcripts before you admit? Are there BOR guidelines for when and how we ask for transcripts? The 4 year campuses require transcripts prior to admission to be sure the student meets the transfer admissions standards, but the two year campuses don’t share that admission standard, so I’m wondering if there is a standard practice for how to handle these admits.

Thanks!
