We have a separate Non-Degree Registration form. They are limited to 9 credits or less. We do not have them meet with an advisor. For any pre-reqs, they are required to submit ACT/SAT, Compass Placement or unofficial transfer transcripts (whichever is applicable). Once everything is received, and providing pre-reqs are met, I then register those students. I send an email confirming their registration with a link to the Academic Calendar. I make a notation that they need to pay attention to deadlines. If they do not meet the pre-reqs, I also send an email stating such and the reason(s) why.
