For those submitting reports to the clearinghouse:
What do you do or say to people who have opted not to give their social security number to the institution? Do you just give them the paper copy of verification? Do you send an email or communication at the beginning of each term to tell them without their SS# they won’t be submitted? I always go back to it’s the students right (by law) to provide their SS# for records. However the catch 22 is if they don’t provide it, it won’t be match up with clearinghouse or NSLDS.
