UM Missoula & Missoula College act similarly to Helena College.
I researched this several years ago and, if memory serves, FVCC operates (or used to operate) differently.

Hi Virginia,
We drop our students from classes if they do not accept the charges. We have a deadline before the semester starts and then again on the 15th day. We run a cancellation job that just cleans out their registration account. They do accept their charges in the Banner self-service.

Subject: Accepting Charges
DCC currently does not have an automated process for students to accept charges. Some students do not accept before the census date and therefore do not count in our student numbers to OCHE. I am being told by my administration that they "legally" the student cannot be charged if they do not accept their charges. Is there something that can be set up in Banner to force students to accept charges when they register for classes?
