Hi Friends,
We have the following protocols in place:
- We will hold a minimum of two ceremonies to keep attendance to a minimum
- Tickets are required for entry
- Families and students will be assigned parking on opposite sides of the stadium to avoid congregating
- Students can bring a max of 2 guests, no exceptions
- Students and faculty must RSVP or they cannot participate
- All seating for students and faculty will be six feet apart
- No processional- instead, students will be escorted to their seats
- Each ceremony will be an hour or less
- No band
- Mask required, no exceptions
- Event staff will enforce social distancing and mask wearing
- Sanitation stations strategically placed around stadium
- No outside food/drink, no concessions

Hi –
Our current plan (still being finalized/approved) is to have the diploma cover on the student’s chair (and a name card) so they know where to go and sit. No processional. They will get to cross the stage for photo op/reading of name, but will bring up the diploma cover for this opportunity… won’t be shaking hands etc…
Recessional in pockets/pods… different exits (yet TBD).

Hello MACRAO friends!
For those attempting an in-person commencement ceremony this year do you have any thoughts regarding doing a lineup/processional/recessional with COVID restrictions? Are you going to do any sort of line up/processional/recessional or are you just going to have students go directly to their seat upon arrival? Currently we are looking at doing four smaller ceremonies over two days in order to allow for some guests. Most of the details I’ve been able to envision to keep it COVID compliant, but I’m having trouble envisioning the lineup/processional/recessional with meeting COVID restrictions.
Thanks for your thoughts.
