Re: Medical Withdrawals

Western does not automatically grant a refund for medical withdraws, but instead requires an appeal to the business services office for any refund requests related to the withdraws.  Typically as long as there is documentation supporting the claim and timeframe of the medical issue we will work with the appeal and try to do what is best for the student.  If the student is unable because of the medical withdraw to complete paperwork or submit documentation our Dean of Students will often serve as the advocate or voice of the medical withdrawn student to help find their way through the paperwork.

Subject: Medical Withdrawals

Good afternoon,

We are looking at revamping our medical/hardship withdrawal policy. I would appreciate if you can send direct me towards yours, or give me a basic recap on if you provide any refunds or credits for those types of withdrawals.

Thanks,
