Here is the website that discusses the reciprocity agreement that I’m aware of.

There is something on the Montana State Taxes that mentions reciprocal treatment. I haven’t had to deal with it personally but I researched it because I thought it was effecting a residency application that was under review. If I can find my research from a few years ago I will email it. Out.

Subject: North Dakota Tuition Reciprocity
Hi all,
I received an inquiry from someone regarding tuition reciprocity with North Dakota. I’ve not run into this before, so I wanted to check with you all.
Section H. 1. (d) states “An individual domiciled in a state other than Montana who derives more than 50% of family income, as reported or required to be reported under the United States tax laws, from full-time employment in a permanent job in Montana and who pays all required Montana taxes on Montana derived income and the spouse and dependent children of such individual; provided the state of domicile provides reciprocal treatment for Montana residents.”
Does North Dakota provide reciprocal treatment? Is anyone aware of any other states that do so.
Thanks!
