We are having some discussions on our campus about how much work time is required for one credit of independent study in a particular area. Does anybody have some guidelines for this on their campus, or information they can point me to on the standards for this. The main question is if they these credits should be calculated using the lecture or lab standards or if they fall under Clinical/Shop/Internships and it is 45 hours for one credit.
