The AAS degree at FVCC satisfies the course requirements for a specific program of study. Even though we have Related Instruction requirements built into each program--1) Communications-Speaking/Writing; 2) Interactions; 3) Quantitative Literacy, not all lower-level gen eds are required or may have been taken prior to transferring to another institution.

This student received an AAS at BCC, which was posted on her transcript. She’s asking why her AAS cannot be used to satisfy her lower-level gen eds. She’s asking how long this policy to not post an AAS at the four-year institutions has been in place.
