Tracking Corequisite Courses

Good Morning:

Thank you all for your feedback and suggestions on the three tracking proposals OCHE distributed earlier this summer (Corequisite Math & Writing; First Generation Students; Math & Writing Placement). In response to your comments, we are revising the proposed common tracking mechanisms for First Gen and Math/Writing Placement. I hope to share and discuss these amended proposals with you at the Fall MACRAO meeting.

We would like to move forward with tracking co-requisite math and writing courses using the STVATTR table as described in the attached memo.

We have one further request. In order to build a reliable time-series of enrollment in corequisite sections, we ask that you back-populate these codes to when your campus first adopted a co-requisite course model (for most, this will be to AY15/16 at the earliest). Back-populating this data will allow us to pull reliable information on corequisite course enrollment  over time into the student data warehouse, which will help with analysis of students’ subsequent performance, etc. If at all possible, we would like for this coding to be complete by September 30th. For most campuses, this should require applying the attribute code to fewer than 20 course sections over time.

Thank you for your help in this effort. Please do let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
