The following are some updates related to the PLA policy approved by the Board of Regents and the processes that are currently occurring to assist/guide campuses with this policy.

 

First update: the OCHE PLA Council has been meeting to discuss and help with implementations on the campuses.  As part of this process each campus has a PLA Liaison assigned to their campus.  In the current weeks, the PLA liaisons are gathering representation from their campus from various perspectives and offices to work through a brief survey.  If you have not heard from your PLA liaison about these meetings we highly encourage you to reach out and get representation in these campus groups. PLA processes will affect us and we need to be at the table.  If you are not sure who your PLA Liaison is please feel free to reach out to Dena Wagner-Fossen who serves on the PLA council as well as the liaison for Great Falls Campus.  She can help you determine who the liaison is for your campus so you can reach out to them.

 

Second update:  the MACRAO workgroup formed at the previous meeting has begun to meet to discuss the transcript and record keeping aspect of PLA.  Dena is facilitating/leading this group so information can go directly back to the PLA council regarding what is being discussed.
