UM is seeing an increasing number of students coming from private high schools in Montana accredited by Cognia. How do you all understand this accreditation? Can we recognize these schools as meeting BoR accreditation policy standards or do you consider them homeschools? I’m not seeing these schools listed on the OPI private school list as receiving federal grant money. If you consider them homeschools, would students graduating from these schools then not meet the requirements to qualify for an exception to the MUS residency policy based on high school attendance/graduation?
