Hi Dawn,
The 15th instructional day is 20% of a 75 day (15 week) semester. If we have a term that is a different length I calculate 20% of the number of days to determine the drop date. For a 5 week course that is actually 5 days so I would do the same as you.

Hi MACRAO friends,
We allow students receive refunds for courses that are dropped/deleted through the 15th instructional day for our regular length semesters – autumn and spring. This lines up with the BoR policy on refunds: https://mus.edu/borpol/bor900/940-7.pdf.
How do you handle setting your drop/delete deadlines for shorter part-of-term courses like a 5 week course? It seems like the BoR policy was built on the presumption of a 15 week (ish) semester. I’m curious if our typical solution of granting one day per week of instruction is on par with other MUS schools.
