For this meeting, we’d like to provide an overview of the ASPIRE grant, with a specific focus on:
- The purpose of the Clearinghouse initiative -- to develop a web-based Montana teacher licensure clearinghouse containing information from all 10 Montana teacher education programs.
- The desired outcome of the Clearinghouse initiative – to offer a Montana-based “one-stop shop” with streamlined access to required courses (sequence, schedule, and delivery formats), as well as the admissions, registration, and financial aid information needed for attaining added endorsements or full licensure.
Then we’d like to facilitate a discussion with the MACRAO group to hear their thoughts and feedback about the key issues which would need to be addressed as we work toward the goal of the Clearinghouse initiative, as well as their suggestions and recommendations for how we might proceed.
