Subject: Proposed Residency Policy Update

All,

Just a quick update from OCHE. We will be proposing a revision to the Board of Regents’ residency policy (940.1) at the upcoming board meeting. The revision is intended to allow active duty service members, as well as their spouses and dependents, to retain in-state status if they are transferred on military orders out of Montana. The service member, spouse, or dependent must have been enrolled prior to the transfer and remain continuously enrolled at the campus thereafter. The item is informational in September and will likely be considered again by the board in November. The proposed change appears on pg. 4.

Thanks,

Helen
