I am calling on you for your help. 

 

As you may already know, via the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education, we are hosting a statewide Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Summit in Helena on Monday, September 29.  The summit will include a welcome from Lt. Governor McLain, will feature presenters from Tennessee and Ohio who will speak of their statewide PLA efforts, and will include an update on what we're doing in Montana. 

 

One additional aspect we want to include is a student panel.  This is where I am seeking your help.  Can you let me know if you have any students who are currently in, or recently graduated from your campus  - and who earned PLA credit?  As you know, the PLA credit could have been earned via avenues such as ACE , NCCRS, CLEP, DSST, UExcel, standardized tests, challenge exams, or portfolio assessment.

 

We would like to have approximately three students on our panel to talk about their PLA experience and impact.  If you could please send me the student's name and contact information, I would be happy to discuss with him/her.  We would be prepared to pay this person's travel and meals.
